As we are going to be travelling together on this Law of Attraction journey of discovery, I think it's only fair you get to know who your travelling companion is, don't you? I mean, you don't know me from Adam, yet I'm inviting you to spend some of your valuable time with me!
OK, so this is what I'm going to do. Every now and then I'll post a "What You Don't Know About Me" post giving you an Insight into who I am and where I'm coming from in terms of events from my past. I'll also share my vision, if you like, of where I want to go, what I want to do and where I intend to be at the end of these 12 months and a bit - which will be at the end of March 2019.
Now let's get started and here's what you don't know about me:
I'm 60 years of age, will be 61 in October, been married and divorced twice with the last divorce in 1993 and have a son & daughter from those marriages. Despite several relationships since then, I've not as yet found someone I want to settle down with - did come close a couple times though.
I was born in Norfolk, England and then my Stepdad took us to Belfast, Northern Ireland where I grew up and got schooled during everything that was happening there in the 1960's and 70's. I spend almost 18 months living in London before returning back to Belfast and eventually taking the Queen's Shilling. I served 14 years as a Royal Engineer which I thoroughly enjoyed and, if it hadn't have been for the cutbacks in the 1990's, I would have stayed on for the full 22 years. As it happened, I took voluntary redundancy because I wanted to stay in Germany and be close to my daughter.
Including 7 years Army time, I spent a total of 22 years in Germany before returning back to UK in 2007 to settle here in Rugby, a market town in Warwickshire, England - also known as the home of the sport with the same name.
This short video shows the prestigious Rugby School, over 450 years old now and where Rugby Football had it's start as a sport.
So, there you have a little snapshot for now, upcoming posts may be longer and perhaps more detailed, obviously depending on subject matter! Looking forward to your comments and see you next time.
