Why Is It Taking So Long? (Update #3)

If you’ve been applying the Law of Attraction in your life and don’t appear to be getting the results you expected or, indeed, appear to have gone backwards, then you’re not alone. I’ve been experiencing that over the last couple of months or so. However, it doesn’t mean that the process of Law of Attraction isn’t at work.

As Michael Losier teaches, Law of Attraction is working all the time, matching our vibrations and providing what we asked for, just maybe not in the way we thought. The clue is in the Job Description of the Law of Attraction. Do you remember what that is? I’ve just mentioned it above – Match Vibrations. That’s exactly what’s been happening.

Michael also clears this point up by saying that once we start using Law of Attraction in our lives, things immediately start to change. Whereas it appears we are going backwards at times, what is actually happening is that old stuff, which is no longer a match for us, is being discarded, let go, dropped out of our Vibration Bubble.

That could be in the form of a habit we suddenly change, people we no longer associate with or even a job that isn’t a match for us. In my case it’s been a Direct Sales company I was aligned with being put into administration and then discovering that Network Marketing, after almost 30 years, is perhaps not the right match for me after all. Shock to the system that was, let me tell you!

So, what has been happening which is a match then? Well, I’ve rediscovered my coaching and teaching skills – this blog is part of it – however even that’s taken a different direction to what I had been focusing on. I’ve had a major Insight into what exactly I want to teach and to whom - not going to reveal all right now but suffice to say I won’t be giving attention to the ‘Target Market’ I had been focusing on. Part of my Insight revealed that it’s not about the money, it’s about who I can serve best. Remove the focus from my financial situation and place my Attention on what really counts instead, that’s the message I received.

Another good point as to why I, and perhaps also yourselves, haven’t seen any really significant change in circumstances is that there’s a mega amount going on in the background, stuff I don’t see or realise. Pretty much just like a plant growing. You water it and nurture it for weeks and nothing seems to be happening, yet underneath the roots are growing and searching out nutrients and ‘rooting’ themselves in to make them stronger. Then, when the time is right, growth starts on the surface and the flowers start to appear and we enjoy the beauty of Nature.

In reality it’s only been a couple of months since I used the tools and techniques taught by Michael Losier to prevent my eviction. That was major because it was what I needed at that time. Now I’m in the strengthening phase and my roots are getting longer and stronger, feeding on the nutrients the Law of Attraction is matching and aligning me with – a bit like a top Nutritionist looking after the Health & Wellbeing of a professional athlete – and very soon I shall be sprouting with renewed vigour.

As will you, providing you don’t kill the plant by pulling it up to check if the roots are growing yet. =D

Until next time!

Is The Law of Attraction a Thing?

Is the Law of Attraction a Thing and, indeed, was it ever a Thing? Now, I’m being a little sneaky here, because by “Thing” I don’t mean a fad or craze, but something more tangible.

Certainly, since the movie The Secret came out in 2006, the Law of Attraction has been a Thing in the sense of a fad or craze, something which has become very popular and, in many ways, mainstream. The movie “The Secret” certainly started or rejuvenated a few careers as a result!

However, in that movie the main focus is on materialising the material such as money, houses, cars and so forth and the concepts shared are, in my opinion, incomplete. The impression is given that if you sit and chant affirmations all day or stick cut-outs of what you want on a Vision Board or create a Mind Movie, the Law of Attraction - or The Universe - will magically make it appear.

Sadly, that isn't the case otherwise we would all be living our ideal lives. There was very little attention given to the action required, time frames involved and what to actually do - except maybe to sign up for newsletters which usually led to endless offers of this or that programme which claimed to "go beyond the teachings of The Secret". Basically, it may work for a few, but not for the many.

The Law of Attraction I'm referring to, as taught by Michael Losier, is a more Hands-On approach, a practical exercise which actually works in a more tangible way. In that sense the Law of Attraction is most definitely a Thing even though you can’t see it, taste it, touch it, smell it or even hear it. I’m unable to show you pictures of it, or recordings of it or even send you jars full of it yet it is very real, and you can experience it.

The metaphor I would use to describe the Law of Attraction is Air. We don’t see air, we experience light shining through it. We don’t feel air, we experience the sensation as it brushes over our skin. We can’t touch air, it’s not tangible. We don’t hear air, we experience the sound of it reacting to changes in temperature or as it moves something that’s loose. We don’t smell or taste air, we experience the smell of, and even taste, substances carried by the air. As already pointed out, we do experience air – especially when we breathe!

With air we don’t doubt that it’s always there, all around us, entering in and out of our lungs. It’s similar for the Law of Attraction. It’s always there, matching our vibrations, our feelings, our moods. It’s Energy vibrating at a very high frequency, therefore invisible.

Michael Losier defines the Law of Attraction as "Whatever you give your time, energy or focus to you will attract more of, whether positive or negative" and that, to me, makes a heck of a lot more sense and correlates perfectly with similar concepts taught down through the ages.

Fact is, whether you believe it or not, whether you want it or not, whether you reject it or not – the Law of Attraction is a Thing and it is working 24/7, 365.25 in our lives, whether we are aware of it or not. Want to see proof? Just check out the results you are experiencing in your business, career, life, relationships, finances and so on. There’s your tangible proof that the Law of Attraction is very much a Thing!

Has Meditation Become Gimmicky?

Meditation, as we know it in the West, has come from Eastern cultures and I’m of the opinion that it has indeed become gimmicky with lots of little add-ons to make one “Teacher” different from the next. Here’s why I think that.

Meditation teachers, Gurus, Yogis, Wannabes and the like all say pretty much the same things when it comes to describing how you should meditate. They mostly say we should sit on the floor, crossed legged, hands in our laps on top of each other with palms facing upwards, thumbs crossed, back erect, head straight and facing forward and so on. After that they tend to differ slightly when it comes to breathing techniques, eyes open or closed, clear mind or not, focus on a thought, an object or nothing at all.

Now, before I get the wrath of Buddha or some other “god” called down upon me, I will say there is nothing inherently wrong with all of that. If you’ve been taught these methods and are happy to use them, or even teach them, that’s fine, that’s your choice. All I’m saying is that some of the “rituals” associated with meditation are not necessary and are, in my mind, a bit gimmicky.

As I’ve mentioned, the meditation practices we know in the West have come mainly from Eastern cultures such as India, China, Japan and Tibet. As such they are usually associated with religious beliefs such as Buddhism and each has its own set of rituals or traditions.

For example, let’s look at Positions. As mentioned the ideal position, according to the Teachers, is sitting crossed legged on the floor, upright posture, hands in lap and so forth. My question is, do we really need to be in a certain position to meditate? Buddhists, Tibetan Monks and similar do so because it’s part of their culture to sit on the floor. They find it easy to sit in those positions and, therefore, it’s a comfortable and natural way for them to meditate.

Us Westerners are chair users and have been since probably the Roman times, if not before. When we lived in Round Houses and caves, chances are we used to also sit on the floor or ground either crossed legged or kneeling as many Japanese still do. We have forgotten how to do that and, therefore, we mostly find it difficult and uncomfortable to adopt these positions.

However, it doesn’t matter whether we are chair users or not, there’s no need to meditate in a specific position. You can meditate standing, sitting, running or walking. When you consider those who have mobility issues, who are bed-ridden, wheelchair bound and so on, who are unable to adopt these positions, does this mean they are excluded from meditation because they’re unable to do so? Of course not!

There are numerous stories about people paralyzed from the neck down who meditated whilst lying in their beds and were able to either heal themselves completely or gain some mobility. Others did so whilst in wheelchairs or were dealing with a Stroke, all of which are (in my mind) proof that no special position is needed, although admittedly lying down to meditate does tend to end in sleep, however your subconscious mind is still at work even then, so you are still meditating.

It’s also said you should cross your ankles and your thumbs, or fingers, to create a circuit to allow the Energy to flow more effectively. I’m not certain about that and here’s why. Energy is flowing through everything all the time. We are Energy Beings encased in a slower vibrating Energy Body. What’s going to stop the Energy from flowing when all IS Energy?

In conclusion the way I see it is: It doesn’t matter how, where or in what position you meditate, it all works. Whether you want to follow the teachings of Tibetan Monks or a self-styled Guru in downtown San Diego, then do so if that makes you happy. All I’m saying is, other forms of meditation practices are available should you wish to use them. Don’t be put off from meditating because you think you need to be a contortionist or if you have mobility issues. Meditation is in the mind, not the body.

Being 100% Positive Actually Weakens You

Do you know how many thoughts we have every day? No, nor do I however scientists put it around one hundred thousand. What I can tell you is that 80% of those 100k thoughts are Negative! Yes, I said Negative! So, what chance have we got of being 100% Positive? Little to no chance and I'm not being negative by saying that, quite the opposite because we need to be negative at times, and here's why...

We have so many negative thoughts because it's the default setting within our subconscious minds. It comes from the days when we had to live our lives on full alert all the time to protect ourselves and those around us from wild beasts and marauding tribes. Negativity is well and truly integrated into our Fight or Flight system and we still need it.

Now I'm sure, like me, you've heard practically every Positive Thinking Expert or Guru say we should strive to be only Positive, to avoid newspapers, the TV news, Soaps, scary or violent movies, getting angry and more. Now admittedly those forms of entertainment or Media Input are not that beneficial however, just like junk food, they only do real harm if you're constantly feeding yourself with them.

For example, if you are on a weight reduction programme yet are having waffles and syrup for breakfast (or a Full English if you're in UK), then Burger and Fries for lunch and Pizza for your evening meal, then it's not going to work, is it? No, of course not! However, the odd occasional pizza, MacNuggetBurger and Fries etc is ok - especially as a treat!

Another example. Gold. Have you ever noticed that gold items are mostly 9 or 18 carat and very rarely - if ever - pure gold unless they're antique? Why do you think that is? The answer is quite simple; pure gold is too soft to work with efficiently, therefore nickel is added, or some other low grade metal, to make it easier and more robust to work with and enable the finished product to be worn for much longer.

So, when it comes to negativity the same kind of rule applies in a sense - we need to have some negativity in our lives to enable us to function efficiently otherwise we would be lopsided, imbalanced. Being 100% Positive would be Pollyanna on steroids and we wouldn't want that, would we?

As a last thought, Michael Losier says in his book, Law of Attraction, that it's OK to be negative - briefly. So, it's OK to have a quick rant or smash a plate (or laptop in my case!) or to be angry with a situation etc, so long as it's only for a brief time and then you get back on track.

How long is briefly? Michael says that depends on you and the situation. Some are negative for a few minutes, for others it could be a few years until they find closure or finish grieving. Point is, just don't stay negative because that's even more damaging than being 100% Positive!

Now you know why you can't be 100% Positive, however must we remain 80% Negative and only 20% Positive? No, we don't need that amount of negativity in our lives today, it no longer serves the same purpose. Using the Law of Attraction and other Positive Growth tools, you can reverse the 80/20 so that it becomes 80% Positive and 20% Negative, which creates a more balanced way of living as well as a more joyful life.

Can You See Without Your Eyes?

If I was to ask you that question - Can you see without your eyes? - you would probably answer "Of course not", right? And, if I was to say that we don't actually see with our eyes, you would probably start to think I was crazy!

However, in reality, we don't see with our eyes. Let me explain. When you have a pair of binoculars do you say you are seeing through them or looking through them? The latter, right? And why? Because we are using the binos as an instrument to gather pictorial information. The same goes for our eyes.

We look with our eyes, but actually see with our brains. Whatever information we take in with our eyes gets translated into images in our brains and is then further translated back into words. Our brains use images to see and we use our eyes to gather those images from our surroundings.

Someone who loses their sight will still remember how things looked from the images they see in their brains. When you use words to describe something - a tree, green grass, a log fire - their brains immediately recall the images enabling them to see what you are talking about.

So the next time someone says they see what you mean, you'll know that their brain has created or recalled an image of whatever it is you are talking about.

The Choice Is Yours And Yours Alone

So here I am, it's Bank Holiday in the UK, very warm and I have chosen to write this blog post. That's a conscious decision I've made.

We make decisions like that all day long about what to eat or wear, where to go, who to talk to and so on. We also make decisions unconsciously and these, too, are a choice. We choose to breathe. We choose to allow our hearts to beat and pump blood. When we eat we choose to swallow. These are all unconscious choices which we could also choose NOT to do, although that wouldn't be advisable!

The same goes for when we want to be prosperous. We choose actions which will either help or hinder us, depending on the route we take. For example I used to have certain views about being wealthy based on where I grew up and, later, on a certain religious ideology. I grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland, during a time now better known as The Troubles. In my mind, based on TV reports, The Troubles were being supported by very wealthy business people supporting one side or the other through funding which was used to buy weapons and explosives which, in turn, was used to indiscriminately kill innocent people  - including children.

Later, when I got involved with a religious movement who were dead against materialism and really frowned on anyone wanting to become a success in what they termed The World, I bought into that way of thinking because of my experience growing up in Belfast. I used to even state that I hated money with a passion.

The result of these experiences, and others related to them, resulted in me obviously never having money for long. In one hand and out the other as quickly as possible. The only time I saved was when it was done for me and as soon as I had access to that, which amounted to about $3,000 at the time, it was gone withing a few weeks.

It was my choice to believe what I did, my choice to act as I did, my choice to self-sabotage myself all those years. Knowing what I know now do I regret those actions, beliefs and so on? No, those are my experiences and I've learned from them. Obviously it would be great to go back in time and rectify everything however, in all honesty, I'm not sure I would.

Prosperity is a choice and that brings me to this video where Randy Gage explains just that and which inspired me to write this post. Enjoy!

People who seem to drain your very energy from you and feed themselves with it. Dr Christian Northrup shares what to look out for - the danger signs - and what to do about these Energy Vampires in this Inspire Nation interview.

She also shares why breathing through your mouth is unhealthy!
