Dry My Tears

Dry My Tears

Oh Israel, what have you done?

And you Christians?

You Muslims?

You Buddhists?

You Hindus?

You Atheists?

You Believers?

You Non-Believers?

You People?

You Sons of God, Jehovah, Yahweh, Shiva, All There Is?

What have you done to your Home?

What have you done to your Palace?

What have you done to your Playground?

What have you done to the Gift I gave you?

And why?

To bathe in non-existent wealth?

To build towers to nowhere?

To live from the proceeds of destruction?

To foment war and destroy the Peace of others for imagined slights?

To take power and control over that which does not belong to you?

No, not yours because it’s mine, ours!

Everything belongs to us all,

From the tiniest microorganism to the Heavens and beyond.

None of this is yours to take or destroy,

Not a single breath is yours to smother,

Nothing is yours and yours alone,

Nothing!

How dare you destroy my property, my garden, my life!

Who gave you that permission?

Not me nor any I know.

Oh, you decided it was your right did you?

It’s your Birthright, your historic possession, your Revenge?

For what? For nothing!

Revenge is never best served at any temperature,

Revenge is best never served at all.

It’s not too late, there’s still time,

Time to turn around and repair the damage,

Restore what was to what is,

Create New with Love and Compassion,

In cooperation with your Neighbours,

All of them,

For they are also You as I am You.

To continue down your current path only leads to your annihilation,

Turn back before you cross that line,

Before the Chasm opens up behind you,

Before your existence is snuffed out

Like a candle in the darkness.

Desist!

Do not resist!

Allow the Love of your God,

Your Source,

Your All There Is,

Of Yourselves,

To flow,

Freely,

Abundantly,

And allow me to dry my tears.

Smell the Coffee

There’s just something about the smell of freshly brewed coffee or frying bacon in the morning that muesli and green juice are unable to compete with when it comes to getting people out of bed. What’s even better is having something worthwhile for getting out of bed for.

For many they either wake up with dread or grumbling acceptance and drag themselves into the bathroom to wash away the pleasant dreams and start another day of perceived drudgery. A few, however, leap out of bed ready to grab the day by the proverbial horns and can’t wait to see what the new day has in store for them.

The latter have a passion, a reason for being, a WHY, a purpose in life which keeps them fired up every day and makes their lives enjoyable and positive. They truly enjoy what they do because their Fulfilment Needs are being met, regardless whether they work for someone else or for themselves. They know their Life’s Purpose and have the strategies in place to achieve it.

Now that’s the age-old question, isn’t it? Just what is our Life’s Purpose? Most people will, when asked, say that their Life’s Purpose is their kids or family, to help others, time or financial freedom or something else along those lines. These are noble goals, however there’s more to it than that. Ask yourself what happens once you have achieved your Why? What then? How would you feel?

In his book, “Your Life’s Purpose”, Michael Losier states it quite clearly – our sole Life’s Purpose is to have Joy. Nothing more, nothing less. You can also call it Happiness, Bliss or by some other term, however Joy is probably the best description.
Problem is most of us never quite get there. We might have the money and time, but not that deep sense of contentment. We might be helping others but forget to help ourselves. We might really enjoy our work but feel there’s something missing. That’s because we haven’t got the correct strategies in place or we are chasing the wrong ones and wonder why we don’t feel that Joy, that Inner Peace. Using Michael’s book, I help people uncover their Top 4 Fulfilment Needs and it always creates surprises.

They can then use these Fulfilment Needs as a sort of measuring stick when it comes to making major decisions about career choice, relationships, performance enhancement, client attraction and other areas of Business and life. Since I uncovered mine I certainly haven’t looked back and am now in the process of using them, plus other Law of Attraction strategies and tools, to attract and create the life I want and not the one others believe I should have.

Want to uncover your Top 4 Fulfilment Needs? I can help you with that or, if you prefer, click on the link below and get Michael’s book.

Why Is It Taking So Long? (Update #3)

If you’ve been applying the Law of Attraction in your life and don’t appear to be getting the results you expected or, indeed, appear to have gone backwards, then you’re not alone. I’ve been experiencing that over the last couple of months or so. However, it doesn’t mean that the process of Law of Attraction isn’t at work.

As Michael Losier teaches, Law of Attraction is working all the time, matching our vibrations and providing what we asked for, just maybe not in the way we thought. The clue is in the Job Description of the Law of Attraction. Do you remember what that is? I’ve just mentioned it above – Match Vibrations. That’s exactly what’s been happening.

Michael also clears this point up by saying that once we start using Law of Attraction in our lives, things immediately start to change. Whereas it appears we are going backwards at times, what is actually happening is that old stuff, which is no longer a match for us, is being discarded, let go, dropped out of our Vibration Bubble.

That could be in the form of a habit we suddenly change, people we no longer associate with or even a job that isn’t a match for us. In my case it’s been a Direct Sales company I was aligned with being put into administration and then discovering that Network Marketing, after almost 30 years, is perhaps not the right match for me after all. Shock to the system that was, let me tell you!

So, what has been happening which is a match then? Well, I’ve rediscovered my coaching and teaching skills – this blog is part of it – however even that’s taken a different direction to what I had been focusing on. I’ve had a major Insight into what exactly I want to teach and to whom - not going to reveal all right now but suffice to say I won’t be giving attention to the ‘Target Market’ I had been focusing on. Part of my Insight revealed that it’s not about the money, it’s about who I can serve best. Remove the focus from my financial situation and place my Attention on what really counts instead, that’s the message I received.

Another good point as to why I, and perhaps also yourselves, haven’t seen any really significant change in circumstances is that there’s a mega amount going on in the background, stuff I don’t see or realise. Pretty much just like a plant growing. You water it and nurture it for weeks and nothing seems to be happening, yet underneath the roots are growing and searching out nutrients and ‘rooting’ themselves in to make them stronger. Then, when the time is right, growth starts on the surface and the flowers start to appear and we enjoy the beauty of Nature.

In reality it’s only been a couple of months since I used the tools and techniques taught by Michael Losier to prevent my eviction. That was major because it was what I needed at that time. Now I’m in the strengthening phase and my roots are getting longer and stronger, feeding on the nutrients the Law of Attraction is matching and aligning me with – a bit like a top Nutritionist looking after the Health & Wellbeing of a professional athlete – and very soon I shall be sprouting with renewed vigour.

As will you, providing you don’t kill the plant by pulling it up to check if the roots are growing yet. =D

Until next time!

How I Prevented My Eviction Using The Law of Attraction - Part One

Here it is at last! How I prevented my eviction using the Law of Attraction - at least part one anyway. Parts two and three will follow very shortly - probably over the next few days.

In this video I start to share my Personal Law of Attraction Story of how I prevented being evicted by using the Law of Attraction as taught by Michael Losier. I share my back story and then take you through the first step I took in dealing with this situation - Getting Clarity Through Contrast.

This has been a while coming because I'm basically a very private person and tend to keep things to myself - I'm a Scorpio and therefore also secretive! So, this has been a big challenge for me, but I'm glad I've done it and I'll be even happier to learn if my story has helped any of you, so please leave a comment, subscribe to get notified of the next 2 parts of my story as I publish them, and share to your tribe!
Thankyou!!!

Goal Scoring and Eating Elephants

When we watch a game of soccer we enjoy the thrill of the attack that leads to a goal scoring chance. That’s the essence of the game, to score goals. However, if it was 90 minutes of penalty shoot outs, how interested would we be in watching the game? Not at all most likely, would be a waste of time as well as unrealistic to call that a sport!

The same goes for goal setting. To score, or achieve, goals the fun is doing whatever it takes along the way. Making the right or wrong decisions, adjusting your strategy, enlisting the help of ‘teammates’, moving forward in increments and then ‘scoring’ the goal followed by exuberant celebrations.
If we were to hit every goal every time, easy peasy lemon squeezy, would that have the same appeal? No, it certainly wouldn’t, would be the same as watching a game full of penalties, right?

In soccer teams are awarded penalties because of fouls committed in the Penalty Area, the larger box just in front of the goal mouth for non-soccer peeps (you’re probably none the wiser but hey ho!) How does that relate to goal setting?
By setting a goal that in reality is unrealistic you could say you’re fouling your chances of ‘scoring’, it would be against you. So what makes an unrealistic goal? Something you want in a certain timescale but is actually, unless a miracle happens, unachievable.
Let’s say you’ve read or listened to The Secret and you decide The Law of Attraction is going to get you the lifestyle you want. So you set a goal to become a billionaire and you date it 3 months from now. Is it going to happen? Chances are it won’t and you’ll be very disappointed and claim the Law of Attraction and The Secret is a load of bull.
 Law of Attraction Facilitator Programme

The truth is you had unrealistic expectations. Even if you had won the lottery you still wouldn’t have achieved your billionaire goal. Why? Well let’s break it down and see how this penalty was awarded.
To become a billionaire (one thousand million by UK standards) within 3 months would mean earning over 333 hundred million per month or over 11 million every day. That would take some doing from scratch and I don’t think even soccer players get paid that much!
There’s nothing wrong with setting big massive goals so long as you’re realistic about the time scale and are also taking the steps to get there such as breaking the major goal down into smaller Milestone goals. But not too small, you still want to push yourself and have a sense of achievement.
So is there a best way, a cut and dried method, to set goals? Well that depends on who you ask, so I guess not. That’s simply because what works for one might not work for someone else. There is a basic framework to work with, however, which works and it’s this:
First determine what it is you want, you really, really want (sorry, couldn’t resist that)
Next give it a timescale, when do you want to achieve it? Give it a specific date.
Then figure out what you have to do to get there, break it down and be as specific as you can, give these steps dates too.
Finally get started, do whatever you have to do and don’t quit.
Now there are differences of opinion on whether you should write your goals down or not, whether you should write out a detailed Plan of Action or not, whether you should focus on daily activities or only on the prize. At the end of the day it’s whatever works best for you. I’ve tried all sorts and what works for me is writing my goals down once, without too many details, and then using visualization to keep my goals in mind, thinking of them as often as possible and using picture boards (also known as dream boards) with cut outs of the things I want to achieve and so on. Like I said, works for me.
I am however a great believer in constant daily activity. A little bit each day will go a long way towards hitting your goal. Always keep your main prize in mind, however don’t focus on it. Remember what I said about the journey towards a goal? It’s not the prize, it’s what you become along the way.
There are those who say you should only focus on the end goal and not worry about how to get there because if your end goal is big enough and you believe in it enough the How will take care of itself.  That may work for some, but in my experience if you only focus on the journey’s end you miss out on all the beauty spots in between and in all honesty, chances are you won’t even get started.
An architect will draw up plans for a house. The builder will look at those plans and say OK that’s what I have to achieve, that’s my end goal, but to get there I need to lay bricks every day, one by one. He’ll have his own daily target of so many bricks laid per day and will only check the plans to remind himself what the end result should look like.

To finish off here’s a few tips on goal setting to get you in the right frame of mind.

1.      Take your goals seriously. Am I stating the obvious? Perhaps, yet there are so many people out there who are not achieving the success they deserve mainly because they treat their goals as a game, just a bit of end of year fun and so on.
All major companies take their goals seriously, very seriously and they have regular meetings to make sure they are still on track, making adjustments where necessary to improve results so by the time their financial year ends they will have hit their main targets.
The only difference between them and you is the number attending the meetings! Have regular review meetings with yourself and even enlist the help of a mentor or coach to help you stay on track.

2.     Goals or resolutions? I know I’ve covered this already but it’s worth repeating. Goals are achievable, resolutions are not. It’s that simple. Goals are within your personal control whereas resolutions have no real substance and are, therefore, uncontrollable.
“I’m going to lose 10 pounds in the next 10 days by losing a pound a day through a healthy diet and exercise” is a goal. “I want to lose weight in the next two weeks” is a resolution. Like I said earlier, both are good but don’t get them mixed up, resolutions are the seeds and goals are the all the actions needed to reap the harvest.

3.     “Aim for the stars to hit the moon” someone once said. This means dare to dream big. Have big goals as well as small goals. Big goals inspire and excite, small goals help you stay focused and are an aid to tracking your progress.
At the same time be realistic. Unless you are in business and have a massive global customer base, setting a goal to have a £1 million turnover by the end of the month isn’t realistic. Unless of course you land a multi-million-pound contract in the next few days, sadly reality isn’t always so generous.

4.     If big massive goals seem unreachable and overwhelming, you would be right. How do you eat an elephant? Easy, one bite at a time! Break your big goals down into bite-sized chunks. You can have short term goals; these would be from daily to maybe three month targets. You can have medium goals, from one to three years and there’s long term goals, possibly three to five years or beyond. You set your own timescale.
For example, let’s say you wanted to achieve a yearly turnover of £100,000 and you’ve given yourself 12 months to get there. Allowing for weekends, holidays and time off, that leaves around 230 trading days. Divide the 100,000 by 230 and you end up with a figure of roughly £435 per day or around £55 per hour for 8 hours worked. Not so scary now, is it?

5.     Commit yourself. Business coach Philip E. Humbert says “Secret goals are mere wishes or hopes or dreams.” Your goals won’t be tangible if you don’t write them down. Nor will they gain substance if you don’t tell someone about them. Keeping your goals under wraps, either because they embarrass you or you’re scared someone will hold you to account, shows a lack of commitment.
At the same time, it’s worthwhile to keep them constantly in mind whenever you go about your daily business or work on your project or follow your career. Now I don’t mean you have to fret and worry about them, that would defeat the object and only causes ulcers. You should, however, do everything you can, within reason, to reach your goals within the time frame you’ve set yourself.
Remember the New Year’s Resolutions? Some write them down, some tell others, very few do both and even less are serious about them. Those who write them and let others know tend to turn their resolutions into solid goals and commit to achieving them.
So score goals, not penalties and eat elephants bit by bit and you’ll achieve whatever realistic goal you set yourself.

Don't Hold Onto Resentment

For decades, ever since I was 16, I had an unhealthy resentment for my step-father. Why? Because he took me out of school and into a working life.

Back then I was in the top O-Level class in my school, was doing very well and had just completed my mocks with 9 passes out of 9, all with decent grades. It would have meant me taking my A-Levels and possibly on to University where my studies would lead to either an acting career or journalism.

(Speaking before a room of Entrepreneurs)
My step-father, however, had decided that as I was now 16 I could start an apprenticeship instead and bring money into the house. I left school halfway through my final year, at Christmas, and started training as a car mechanic. I was not best pleased.

At first, though, I enjoyed the work, the City & Guilds course I was on (got a distinction in my first year) and, of course, getting paid. Sadly, that line of work came to an end when I had a run-in with the MD and was sacked. It was then when I really started to resent the fact that I, in essence, had become a school dropout, an unqualified minion in the eyes of future employers. I began to feel inferior because I didn’t have any bits of paper to say otherwise. I even lied to people, saying I had both O and A-levels just to make them think better of me. I didn’t want to admit, or accept, the truth.
Since then I have got various qualifications through my military career and work experience, have taken several courses and hold a Diploma in Freelance Journalism and am currently working on a Philosophy degree with Open University.

As for my step-father, thanks to my Reiki training I’ve been able to forgive him although sadly not in person. In hindsight, he actually did me a massive favour because I’ve learned more about life through personal experience than I would have done in any classroom. I’ve been able to ‘study’ people first hand rather than through the pages of books or through lectures.

And Your Why Is?

If I were to ask you what you thought your WHY was, what motivates you to get out of bed in the morning, what keeps you focused throughout the day, you would possibly say  either I don’t know or something along the lines of family, friends or even your work. Am I right?

On the other hand, if I were to ask you what your biggest dream is you would probably say a huge house with land, a Ferrari or Lambo, world travel, holiday homes, a millionaire lifestyle and so on.

These are all fine but they not WHYs, they are goals!

A WHY does more than get you out of bed in the morning, it fires you up. It does more than simply motivate you, it inspires you to greatness. A WHY does more than keep you focused, you’re thinking about it every spare moment you have, it’s an obsession but in a good way. A WHY is something your goals should lead to, the end result, not a stopover along the way.

For example, for over 20 years I had been saying that my WHY was Time and Financial Freedom. I would have all the time I wanted with the money to do it with. Sounds great, right? And I know there are many others who have the same or similar ‘WHYs’. Then in 2014 I was discussing this with a couple of friends, Manuela and Peter Mueller-Meerkatz who are top leaders with Amway, and Peter asked me a simple question which led to a, then, Satori moment. He asked:

“And once you have the time and money freedom, what will you do with it?”

Straightaway I said I would write books. He then suggested that maybe Time and Financial Freedom wasn’t my WHY but a goal. He was right because later, when I reflected and pondered on that, I realised that even writing books wasn’t my true WHY. My WHY was staring me in the face the whole time but I couldn’t see it because I was too busy adopting other people’s WHYs and goals as my own.

My WHY isn’t even the mission I set myself years ago whilst growing up  in Belfast surrounded by all the hate and violence, which was to help people around the world to find real happiness, to help them make the right choices leading them to a life they truly deserved.

No, my WHY is what I will get from carrying out my ‘Mission’, namely JOY! By helping others discover their Joy, I’ll succeed in attaining mine. I learned that from Michael Losier and in fact he has written a book to help people like you and me to clearly define our WHY. It's called Your Life's Purpose and is certainly well worth reading.

Whoa! Sounds a bit pious and Polly-Anna-ish doesn’t it? Heal the world page by page and find healing myself? Maybe, however I look at it in a different way.  I know I won’t accomplish everything but if my book, and any subsequent books, can make a tiny difference and bring Joy to just one person then I will have fulfilled my  mission and achieved my WHY, even long after I have finished my time on this wonderful rock of ours.

You see, a WHY doesn’t have to be the end - contradicting myself here I know but bear with me -  it can also be an ongoing thing and you can also have more than one strategy to help you accomplish it. Got you really confused now, haven’t I? Look at it this way, there are no real rules when it comes to WHYs, you make your own. If you want just the one, that’s great. If you want more than that, that’s great too. Point is, whatever you choose has to keep you on fire until you achieve it and smouldering as you maintain it.

So, finishing with the question this post asks in the title:  And Your Why Is?
